About a month ago, I saw this chalkboard in a thrift store. I thought it looked cute, and I knew it had potential, but I didn't buy it then. I waited a couple of weeks. When I saw it again, it was marked half-off: time to buy!
I didn't know exactly how to transform it from blah to wow, but then I found inspiration from my friend, Cindy. Check out this post from her blog. She is so creative! If it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have thought to use paper to decorate.
I repainted the chalkboard with chalkboard paint, then glued patterned paper to the frame. I added a few flowers, and printed photos for the empty spaces. Voila! Now this is ready to be incorporated into the wedding reception in a couple of months.
Thanks for Cindy, who always inspires me!
