Time for Blog Adjustments

In short:  same blog, different look.  I spent way too much time yesterday pretending that I understand html code.  (I don't.) 

I still need to label many of the older posts, so they will show up under the tabs.  The blog hops page needs work, but it's going to take me a while year to figure out how to line the buttons up nicely.  I want to resize my "Thankful thought" and signature line.  I'd like to redesign my blog button and favicon.  I want to update my profile.  I might even change some of the days that I post, or not follow as strict of a schedule as I have for the past year.  We'll see.  I'll let you know as soon as I decide. 

In the meantime, take a look around.  What do you think?  If you find any broken links or things that otherwise don't work, please let me know.  (And if you know how to fix the problem, all the better.)

    I already like it better. It loads a lot faster than the previous one. I'm glad you kept the family photo. I've always liked it. I'm off to look around...

    Wow! Very nice look. I know it took a ton of work and frustration but perseverance always pays off and this time it did for sure. Nice job. I like your button, that's on my list of things to do.

    I think it is looking great. It seemed to struggle loading and sizing the family photo in the sidebar when I change pages but it does size and I don't know what is causing the issue...

      Hmm, I see what you mean about the sizing issue, but I don't know what is causing the problem, either. I'll have to puzzle on that a bit. I didn't actually change anything about the photo from the old blog design to the new, so I'm not sure how to make it better. I might not get it fixed soon, but I'll try to figure it out. Thanks for the feedback.

    An ambitious project for sure! I wouldn't even know where to begin a remodel of my blog.

Ten Things of Thankful: April Showers Edition

  A red peony bud prepares to open fully  After an incredibly dry winter, we had a bit of precipitation this past week, in the form of falling snow. We didn't have much, and it didn't really stick, but we'll take water however it wants to come. Fortunately, my peonies seem unaffected by the cold snap, and are ready to put on a show here soon. 1. I'm thankful for moisture. 2. I'm thankful the flowers are still going to bloom. I don't know how the colder temperatures will affect the fruit crops. The strawberries look like they are still planning to set fruit. We'll have to see what happens with the peach, apricot, pear, and apple. Monday Mentions: Equate Crutches

Have you ever needed crutches? I hadn't, until a week ago.  I'm pretty sure I strained a muscle while running a half-marathon.  (That sounds kind of cool, doesn't it? I'm not actually that cool; the last time I strained a muscle it was from carrying too many shopping bags at once.) In any case, I found myself in need of some crutches. I sent my husband to the store to get some. I shouldn't have worried. John came home from Walmart with their generic store brand of crutches, complete with instructions. First, I needed to take out a long bolt that went through the hand grip.
