I recently created a book of memories for my parent's 50th wedding celebration. In reading the remembrances that my children, nieces, and nephews wrote, I realized that one common good memory they have is of spending time working with Grandpa and Grandma outside in their yard.
Pictured above are some of my children helping move rocks to surround my dad's bamboo gardens. The kids have a sense of pride when they visit Grandpa and Grandma and see the lovely landscape.
I'm so glad my children have had the chance to work hard, and I'm also glad we actually have photo documentation. Sometimes, we forget to take photos of work, but it's an important part of life!
Thanks to my parents, hard work, and photos (some of which my Dad took.)

Hard work builds character and confidence.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious: is the bamboo ornamental or used for something specific?
What a wonderful farm! Having lived my first 12 years on a farm -- they are a wonderful experience for children.
