One Week Till Easter #BecauseHeLives

I'm thankful that because He lives, we can live again, too.

Ten Things of Thankful: Good-bye Oregon, Hello California

After a wonderful visit in Oregon, I've returned to California. Here's my Show and Tell report:

I Signed Up!

Even though it seems like I have been blogging forever, I'm not exactly cutting-edge when it comes to some blogging-related events.  However, after weeks of hemming and hawing, I've decided to commit to participating in the A to Z Challenge .

April 2015 Visiting Teaching Message

You can find the visiting teaching message for April here .   Thanks for Jesus Christ, who is without guile or hypocrisy.

DIY Running Bibs and Medals Display

My oldest daughter's birthday was last week.  She and I have run 10Ks together, and I knew that she wanted some way to display her bibs and finisher medals.  I wanted to give her a display board as a present.  I wasn't thrilled with the ones I found, so I decided to make one.

Ten Things of Thankful: Tractor Driving and Other Stuff

Dorothy, I'm not in Kansas anymore.  Or rather, I'm not in California.  I've come up to Oregon for a while to participate in a strange game of Musical Caregivers.  Sort of.  I think I'm really just comic relief.  My mom and I are about to eat ice cream and watch Austenland, a total chick flick.  It's been easy to come up with 10 Things of Thankful this week.

Happy Birthday to My Disney Fan

Twenty-four years ago, I became a mom of a daughter.  My sweet little girl is all grown up now.  She has always been cautious, yet confident and capable.

Ten Things of Thankful: Perspective Brings Hope

That title hints at sorrow or pain, but I really haven't had anything horrible happen this week.  I've just been thinking about beliefs I hold which help me see the bright side of life. Also, spring is right around the corner, calendar-wise--and in full bloom, weather-wise--and with it, the Easter season.

(Nearly) Wordless Wednesday: Hiking at the Poppy Reserve

That blurry thing is a moth! Thanks for beautiful spring flowers.

Ten Things of Thankful: Letter D edition

It seems silly to have a letter of the day post when it isn't the A to Z challenge, but as I thought back over my week, one letter stands out:  D.

March 2015 Visiting Teaching Message

"Patience is a virtue."  Developing patience, however, takes time and doesn't come easily for most.  The March visiting teaching message is: " The Attributes of Jesus Christ:  Long-suffering and Patient ."  Thanks for the patience, and the opportunity to develop that trait.
