Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park, as viewed from an overlook I apologize for not commenting on your blog posts this past week; John and I took a vacation to Yellowstone National Park, leaving behind our computers and, to a large extent, cell phone service. We escaped the outside world and just spent time in nature. Though we have friends near Yellowstone (who we love to visit) we made this trip just about us, so please forgive us if we were nearby and didn't stop by. The crowds were minimal (though we did mask up whenever we passed someone on the trails) and we spent our days hiking, taking photos, and watching geysers erupt. Today, we are back home and back to work, and, in the case of my computer, back to old shenanigans like not letting me import my photos. (I was able to add the above photo by using blogger on my phone, but that isn't my preferred method.) I want to write about Yellowstone and have photos I want to share, but will leave that for another
I love the violin favorite piece is Vivaldi Winter- :)
ReplyDeleteVivaldi compositions are lovely.
DeleteI found violin so difficult. I think its the no frets thing... Where do I put my fingers? None the less such a glorious instrument!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! With piano, what you play is what you get. With violin, just a slight shift of the finger can make your note go flat (or sharp). However, I also agree that the violin is a beautiful instrument! One of these days, I need to take mine out of its case and practice!
DeleteThe violin not only sounds beautiful but also looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou are right; it is a beautiful instrument in looks as well as in sound.
DeleteGrowing up I always wanted to learn to play the violin. I begged my mother for one but since she had hated practicing she was convinced that I would hate it and that it would be a waste of her money.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. It's never too late, though! :-) I didn't study violin until my daughter did.
DeleteMy dad's dream has always been to play the violin. I was horrible at the flute and all music. Love this though.
ReplyDeleteHe should pursue his dream. :-)
DeleteValuable skill, playing the Violin. Personally haven't a musical bone in my body, but I admire those who can get music out of such a difficult instrument.
ReplyDeleteIt's not an easy one, that's for sure.
